Introduction
Commercially available mobile phone holders for the motorbike are either too unsafe or far too expensive for me. In the case of the former, this is certainly because the manufacturers are trying to sell a universal mount. Of course, I don’t have this problem with my own design and can build an individual holder for my phone.
Design
I designed this mount specifically for the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite with the following outer dimensions (including silicone sleeve): 74 x 152 x 10 mm. This massive holder should protect the phone as best as possible. I have deliberately omitted a clamping solution to be able to exclude an accidental loosening of the clamp. Instead, the phone is inserted and locked with a latch. So the phone is always safe even on long trips on gravel roads. On the bottom edge is a recess to charge the phone while driving.I used the RAM mount of the Thingiverse user “onasiis” as the connector and RAM base from user “MrProper”.
